Out with the old, out with the new

I've been super lucky to own these used but super cheap (thanks Crossroads!) Barcelona Fluevog shoes which I always meant to get the toe repaired before I wore them. Several years have passed and today I indignantly decided I would wear them no matter what (a.k.a my feet) and find something not too galleria girl to go with them. Probably failed that last part but whatever, I have rockin' shoes on my side.

This is not meant to look so much like I think I'm deep, my backdoor stairs just has good lighting. Also I lost my make up bag (translation - a ziploc bag with concealer, powder, lip gloss and assorted ketchup packets) so let's all pretend we don't see my lazy iphoto "enhancement". Also because of my lack of trust of Chicago weather I kept wearing a coat all morning even though I was sweating.

Guys, I've got a new sitcom. I'm marketed as an awkward, indie quirky girl in everything because that's who I really am. Can't you see that in my zany pose? It's called "New Girl", it's pretty neato burrito. Isn't that clever? I'm a vegan though.

Trying to smile because my regular expression tends to look dour and angry. I swear it's not me, it's just my face.

Sometimes better than saving something for some special day or on a to-do list you secretly know won't ever be tended to, just be damned and wear it. Unless you know this before you buy it and never plan to wear said item, then don't buy it and let it be worn by someone who will cherish it in sickness and in health.

I need a tripod to get better photos though (also to use my baby Cannon xs 30)...
